The final design for the water slide has been completed and was presented today. The team created a poster that was used as a visual aid in the presentation. The structural team finished designing the columns, cantilevers, and cantilever supports used to support the flume as well as the queuing structure for the slide. The hydraulic team also completed their design. The water slide has a design flow of 0.25 cubic feet per second, or 112.5 gallons per minute. This flow will be carried to the top of the slide in a piping system powered by a straight centrifugal pump made by Goulds Water Technology.
