The team has selected the preferred alternative, and will continue through the rest of the design process with it in mind. The chosen design was our alternative design #3, the Antarctic Adventure. The slide surface will be constructed out of frosted acrylic rather than fiberglass which is more conventional. The frosted acrylic will be translucent and will fit in the with ride area's Antarctic theme that will feature Penelope Penguin the Sesame Street character. The slide is in the shape of a penguin's body, and it will be decorated so it looks like one when viewed from the tops of nearby attractions. We hope that the water slide we design will be fun and exciting to ride and the overall experience of park attendees will be positively impacted because of it.
